What will you be bringing to the market this year? Cold Brew Coffee...sold by the cup, served iced and hot, as well as in our 32oz howlers!
How did your company get started? We were tired of the corporate scene and wanted to build a company on the standards of being sustainability-minded with ethically-sourced ingredients, and join the local food movement. Our passion for great coffee became the inspiration and while Billy was training for an ultra marathon, experimentation with blends and brewing began.
What do you wish people knew about your product? Cold Brew Coffee is better for your system than hot brew. You get approximately double the caffeine and half the acid! Also, because it is naturally sweeter due to the process, a lot of folks don't have to add anything to it.
What question do you never get sick of customers asking? Can I return my howler? Yes, (in the name of sustainability) we have a refill system and customers get a discount!
Your favorite story about your company or the market? Josh (our normal Brookhaven guy) and Amy (Mad Mama) often serenade customers on Saturday mornings. That speaks to the close-nit and warm environment of the market!
Do you have any recommended recipes or surprisingly awesome ways to use your products? Cold Brew is very versatile - in cocktails, desserts (tiramisu), and can even be used as a brining solution for meat. Check our website for new recipes.
What do you love about the Brookhaven Farmers Market? BFM is very welcoming to new types of products to keep the offerings fresh and relevant and they always have the customers in mind.
